RT...You didn't happen to set your default view to be wireframe did ya?? I did that in Corel8 when I first got it and ran into the same problems. Took me a couple of days to figure out what the problem was and Corel agreed it was a bug in ver8 and when I asked bout whether they fixed it in ver 9 the said no, they forgot! Seems with wireframe as the default view when you first open up, Corel starts using system resources and doesn't release them after it is done. In a very short time the system drags to a halt and up come the page fault/illegal operation boxes. If that isn't the problem reset all the preferences to factory default and see if it works OK. Then go about customizing one setting at a time until the problem reoccurs.

Thomas,

What "build" are you using? You should be up to build #397. If not, you can download it from http://www.corel.com/support/ftpsite/pub/coreldraw/draw9suite/Index.htm.

Also, it is quite possible that your registry has been corrupted. By holding the F8 key down, double click on your CorelDraw icon. This will return your Corel registry back to its original configuration and hopefully solve your problem.

I am also having problems with crashes. I can not pin point what causes them. Also my colors are not as bold and bright as they were in 7 and certainly do not print as well as in 7. I am looking for help and Corel wants to blame my system. Funny, 9 is the only program giving me fits. I'll check the wireframe thing. Thanks for any suggestions.
