Well, usually on vinyl if you heat it up a little, that should do it.You can use a heat gun or a really good hair dryer. The slow heating softens the adhesive, and it allows you to peel it off. The residue adhesive could be removed with a product called Goof-Off. But it seems with Signgold or similar products, the vinyl comes off in layers, witch really makes it a pain in the rear to take off. Over all it's a lot of work, but it can be done. Sorry I don't have a magical answer.

The answer is(2-part) HEAT,from a heat lamp tree( this is common to body shops) because you can adjust the lamps to focus on a large area( a panel at a time) walk away for 10 minutes, come back and peel off the entire panel(repeat for each panel)#2-This will leave you with a lot of stickey stuff, use a product that works in 30 seconds, renders the adhesive "non stickey for a couple minutes".You can then rince with water, this product was designed for this purpose alone, and it works! find out more at; www.rapidtac.com Roger P.S. be glad to send you a free sample, just e-mail your address !

Benjamin..I have only had the unfortunate experience of removing SignGold once. Marina gave me the wrong registration info for a boat. It had only been on for 1 day and it took forever to remove. As Alicia says it comes off in layers, and as Roger says, I used Rapid-Remover to get rid of the adhesive. It will take patience but it can be done Benjamin.

Dave, Please correct your statement. Roger did not mention Rapid Remover in his post. Just a product formulated for the purpose of removing adhesive. Just rattling chains!!!!

Wow, I just did that today. I used a plastic razor blade and scrapped off the gold, then used the only bottle of squirt stuff I had. It was the Rapid Tack window cleaner. It loosened the adhesive and I washed it off clean. Thank you Roger.

SignGold is formulatedfor 14 year life. The one mil material does not seperate in as many layers as the early product. The plastic razor technique or use Lil Chizzler is the best although if you know how to use altered steel blades without marring the surface, they are faster. This material does not stretch out like vinyl so it is slower. Because of the unique adhesive, you may want to soak the adhesive longer with the remover.

Kent, I have a simple method for altering a single edge razor blade. Simply put some pressure in th emiddle with your thumb. The edges will lift slightly and will not dig into the surface paint or material.
