Great news! The Central Illinois RT.66 Letterhead Meet is back on and will probably be an annual event!
Instead of painting period billboards in Lexington, Illinois as proposed, we have moved down the road to the south to a little town where the original RT. 66 goes right through the middle of the town!
The name of the town is Atlanta, Illinois. They have several wall dog projects for us to work on, and one needs to be done before Memorial Day.
So, I suggested we have a "mini" Letterhead Meet with a few of us Local Central Illinois walldogs this year and next year we can have a much bigger meet ( like Vinton, Iowa )
Because I am a writer for Sign Builder Illustrated, those who come to this meet will get some international exposure! Yes, YOUR WORK, YOUR NAME, YOUR PICTURE in the magazine. And, you don't have to pay to come to this meet, the city is willing to find places for you to sleep and feed you!
So, let me know if your close and willing to come and I will know the exact dates here very shortly.
We don't have a lot of time to pull this off before the annual RT 66 Tour, which goes right through this city!
Next year will be the really kewl Letterhead Meet, and most likely every year after that. And who knows, maybe the city of Lexington will finally realize what they passed up and rethink their billboard recreation project.
Let me know what you all think. We only need 5 good walldogs for this meet, but any and all are welcome to come!

And Yes....Anyone is welcome. I wasn't sure how many of you could come this short of notice.
They have a neat little park right in front of this wall. Your families could all come and have a pic nic "whilst" we work on this wall.
5 of us should be able to knock it out in a day with everything ready to go.
Then next year we can really have a big party

That would be great if you could come, and yes we could use your help.
Troy's meet (Brushfire at the Hose House in Evansville, Indiana ) is April 27,28,& 29th. The Rt.66 Meet is the NEXT week. If you are coming up to Brushfire ( and I think you have realitives there,) if you could stay a few days longer, we could get the layout on the wall at the very least.
If you could stay the whole week that would be great too!
Let me know if this is a good plan!
