I recently purchased a Wacom ArtZ II digital tablet. I was hoping that some of the other folks on here might share how they set their digital tablets for vector and bitmap programs. Such as screen scaling, stylus settings, etc.

I've been reading through the manual, and it looks to me as if there is a lot of trial and error involved in adjusting settings.

Thanks in advance for any advice on the subject. As there seems more signfolks switching to tablets, hopefully this thread will be enlightening to alot of us.

Don, the setting variables on most tablets are there so they can be set for each individual machine. In most cases with a small tablet you'll need to calibrate the area on your tablet to match the area of your screen,so that your cursor area doesn't
exceed your screen area. This is a constant variable due to the many different monitor sizes available. Most manufacturers will have a support link on their websites with some sort of FAQ & settings troubleshooting for different machines.Alot of the newer tablets will do this automatically for you upon installation.Other settings will control pressure sensitivity & button commands depending upon the particular model. Some of the more elaborate models have you select the type device attached to the tablet as certain models have different pucks & stylus available. Then you can adjust the settings for each button on your pointing device. All this said it depends on each particular model of tablet & the type monitor the tablet is used with to dictate these settings.
With some graphic programs you can install even more variables for the tablet,.. if it is supported in that particular program. This is especially true of some of the larger sign making programs and graphic design programs.Occaisionally this will require a custom install routine with options that are not present in the standard install procedure.
BTW,...some one here posted a link I think about a free download plugin for an airbrush for tablets in corelpaint & photoshop I sure would like to find that link again!
