How does one send a customer a design from SignLab? Do I export as a tiff first...does size matter...How do you have to save it?
I'm trying to show customers the design on there computer so they don't have to come by the shop....this is of course-after I have a deposit!

John..I don't use SignLab but exporting as a bitmap is the way to do it. I would suggest that GIF format or JPG format would be the more appropriate way to go since both are usually a LOT smaller file size than TIFF.

Also, most customers don't have "graphics viewing" programs so they will probably use their browser to open the file that you send and JPG and GIF are universally openable by Netscape and Explorer.

I use SignLab. In order to send my customer a file, I export as to .ai format. Before doing that, I duplicate the layout and reduce the size of it for easier viewing. First you must ungroup everything. When exporting this smaller layout...be sure and click SELECTED before exporting so you don't export everything on the page.
After I make the file an .ai (Adobe format). I open CorelDraw and import the .ai file there. Since many people don't have a graphic viewing program I export the file as a .pdf or a .doc. I find most people have Microsoft Word or Word Pad that will open a .doc file or Adobe Acrobat Reader that will open a .pdf file.
Hope this hepls. E-mail or call me if you need further help.
Judy
