Just a note to let you all know Barb and I have arrived at Jackie's home in Volcano, California.
It's been a busy morning. Si and Marty had us up and moving at 5am this morning. We were on the road to LAX by 6am trying to beat the heavy traffic. Everything went smooth and we were able to catch a 9am flight to Sacramento.
When we came off the plane Jackie and Stef were waiting for us. After all the hugs and hellos, the suitcases were gathered and we were off in Stef's truck.
We changed cars in El Dorado Hills. Stef headed home and we drove another hour thru winding country roads. There was a light snowfall here this morning, but it looks like it is melting fast.
Gonna run and grab a coffee. Talk to all real soon.

Gee Adrienne, you're getting awfully good at Photoshop. Too bad I didn't catch sight of that photo before I left for Sac Airport this morning.
As it was, Jackie and I recognized Steve & Barb instantly. I snapped off a picture of Jackie and the Traveling Duo and then Barb got me back taking one of Jackie and me... Jackie protesting the whole time because she wasn't feeling photogenic, but none of listened to her and snapped away. Memories...
There was a scuffle over who got to host them first up here? Hmmm, I musta slept through that whole post. Me, Asleep at the wheel again?
None to worry Dave, the snow has probably all melted down at Jackie's elevation. Me on the other hand- on my home we had snow flurries outside of Placerville (1900') and a blizzard and chain control at Camino (3000') and then 6 fresh inches of that blasted white stuff waiting for me in the drive. The weather people are NEVER get it right about snow levels around here. They say 3500' and maaaaybe it will snow down to 4500', which is why I wasn't worried about the forecast for this weekend... but not THIS time. Nope it drops to 1500' in "Sunny California" Bah ha ha ha! But it's all nearly melted here and will be gone by tomorrow. I'm sure Jackie's has cleared up already.
Steve & Barb are good people. It was nice to meet and visit with them briefly while at the airport and then driving from Sac to El Dorado Hills in my not so quiet Blazer. (I haven't got all the insulation in the Blazer yet and with Headers and Flowmasters on it's a bit noisy, but it sounds goooood! ) I look forward to spending Saturday with them at Jackie's for the Turkey dinner and spirits!
The chauffer for a day side of the Moon
If it wasn't snowing/raining it would have been fun to pick them up in one of our Hot Rods, but as it was we had to leave the '66 Mustang in Placerville tonight... she don't like the snow- at ALL. The '30 Model A's won't even look out of the shop on days like these... snobby cars!
