Steve & Barb will be here soon. Everyone is invited to come to my place in Volcano, Sat., the 24th, to greet, eat, cajole, whatever, with Steve & Barb. I'll be cooking up something - don't know what yet - but will plan on having some eats around 2 or 3pm, so those of you who have to travel home will have plenty of time to hit the road early. Anyone is welcome to spend the night as well - just bring a sleeping bag, blanket, or whatever, and we'll squeeze you in somewhere. I don't have a sign shop so this is just a gatherin'. I'm about 50 miles from Sacramento, 12 miles out of Sutter Creek, heading up towards Lake Tahoe. Give me a holler if you plan on coming and I'll give you directions. And holler louder if you care to bring some food to share.

Gee Jackie...a lot of snow is forcast for the area, doubt many will want to travel in it.
I've never put chains on before and it's just a bit too far for me to drive.
Have fun anyway.

Adrienne - we're only at the 2800ft level and no snow forecast - just rain. Unless we get a really really cold front, it should be safe. But hey - they'll be coming your way shortly afterwards. We don't get snow that often as we're only 12 miles up the hill from Sutter Creek. We really got dumped on last week with snow - but then, so did HWY 17!!!
Not to worry!!! I've got a 4x4 and would be happy to bring anyone up and anyone down afterwards if it does snow, which I really doubt. There's a nice, safe parking lot in Sutter Creek.
By the way - anyone coming bring your swim suits/trunks & a towel if you'd like to soak in the hot tub! Just maybe we'll get a chance to see that darned Red Thong!
Adrienne - we WILL meet someday!!!!

I'll be there!

And I'll bring the food everyone else does not bring... That means I'll fill in the gaps. If everyone says they are bringing chips and dip, beans, potato salad and such... I'll bring the Brownies, Cookies and maybe even an Apple Pie! (Shhh, don't say anything but- That's why Jackie visits me... I live near Apple Hill ...and I'm the one that lives in the SNOW- seems people are always getting us confused food, the infamous project we are working on together, and "on the map" we're an inch apart- but in life size we live a good 30-45 minutes away from each other depends on how good you are at curves. )

So how many of us yocal locals are gonna be there? Richard B- coming down from your snowy haven? Ron & Kristi- ya gotta visit our neck of the woods... it's Almost as purty as yours and please bring the girls! Stebbing and Crazy Jack- you two gotta be there... it's just no FUN without yous! BroFrog- if you bring some frog stickers and plastic cardboard pieces... I'll bring some paint and brushes and metal sign blanks, OH! and Norwegian Airbrushes to play with. Whaddya say? Wanna Play little boy? heh heh heh... (I'm SUCH a tease when I know these guys!)

We don't need a shop front to make a mini meet at our friend Jackie’s. (Hope she has some paint thinner in case the rowdy ones get crazy on her floors and walls, hmmmm? )

I remember Robin saying he wanted to see the Shortreeds... he could bring the real Airbrushes... have you seen his toys!? Wow! And Rich and Sophie really know how to make those things do crazy things... hey, you two could BRING your home! (They have an awesome MotorHome.)

And then there's Adreinne... hmmmm, how can we convince her to come? Oh I know... I'll bring the chickens! Did I tell you mine know how to do the Hustle and the Conga AFTER a case of Miller with JD chasers. (Or was that the other way around?) Com'on A, ya gotta be there! Who's gonna take Steve and Barb "down" the hill after we get them up it? And they HAVE to sleep with your cats!

Rick Sacks, please bring Megan and the kids- they were so nice to meet at Ron's I'd really love to see them again... and I'll be bringing my daughter (also named) Jackie to the meet. She'd be truly inspired to meet your Annie and your son! (My Jackie is almost 12 and SOOOOO interested in signs and painting and Letterheads.)

Let's see, who am I forgetting? I know the LA crowd has seen them... Oh, Cisco! You missed them while they were down South... come on up amigo! If we can't fit you travelers at Jackie B's (really V) we can fit the over flow here... especially if ya want to go to Lake Tahoe on Sunday! I am 1 hour and 10 minutes from Tahoe on HWY 50 (which is OPEN and clear). I'll bring maps to Jackie's for anyone who wants to follow me home. I have lots of floor space, and if you e-mail me now... I'll move the spare bed into the guest room for ya. (right now the room has boxes of stuff waiting to go into my new shop... this could be just the ticket to prompt Dad and the husband unit to getty up on the drywall in my shop! Hey we may have something here!) Oh yah the sleeping arrangements at Stef's... Ok, I have 8 army cots so don't "fear the floor" and if we get an over flow I can probably park some of yous in Mom's upstairs apt. (it has a bed and bath all to itself) the bidding starts at... just kidding! But I will have to make reservations at her Inn. And speaking of Inn's I have one of those too, right across the street- SO if you are traveling back home via my house and decide it's too crowded or whatever at my house- there's an Inn across the street AND I'll feed ya breakfast the following morning. (and you'll still live! )

Hey, then there's the Oregon and Washington Letterheads!!! I read here somewhere some of you were planning on thinking about coming down... give us a hollar and we'll hold ya up for the night. Sacramento isn't much to get excited about as far as sight seeing, but we DO have Tahoe!

And the Tahoe Letterheads... let's hear from you guys, eh Cooper? HWY 50 is open in both directions. We'd love to meet ya!

Well, if I have not successfully singled you out in this post...none to worry, I have not forgotten you on purpose. I'll figure out who's not checked in yet and be doing the roll call again here in a bit.

The Drill Sargent... Hall Monitor... nah, I just want to SEE all you guys too!!! side of the Moon

Just a little teaser . . . and to bump this up.
We'll be serving roast turkey, and a few trimmings to munch on at your leisure.
Bring your own beverages and whatever pleases you to add to the faire. I'll also have a "donation" can for those that care to chip in rather than bring anything.
Looking forward to meeting many of you!

Our time in LA has just about come to an end. We just returned our rental car and are getting things packed up. Tomorrow at 12:20pm, we catch a flight from LAX to Sacramento.

It's going to be hard to bid Si & Marty Allen goodbye. They have been terrific friends and hosts the last 2 weeks. We're going to miss them.

Looking forward to seeing all of our Letterhead Pals up north. We plan on having 3 full weekends in the Northern California area. Rest assured we will do everything we can to get to each of you.

See you all real soon.

PS...Will there be cranberries with that roast turkey?

My preference is Carona and Lime, but cool, I can do Bud. My sister is probably gonna hog all my Miller this weekend anyway! LOL She's taking my daughter Jackie snow boarding Monday... and she don't know how to snow board. This ought to be funny! We ski down snow in our family, not surf!

You know though... I'll only be able to share just one with you... you'll have to drink the other 23. If I drink any more than that one beer someone will have to drive ME home! I'm such a light weight drinker that when I SPLIT a beer with Herb Martinez at the PSS Harvest Moon in Sac I had to park my Full Side down at a table and watch people just go by for a while... I ken 'm no a verra gud Scot, eh? That's why I only had Pepsi at dinner!

I am looking forward to meeting the rest of you someday soon. (watch out for Cisco.....give him a beer, and before you know it...he is doing the moonwalk, hustle, hokey pokey and twist all at the same time) Yep, I will miss a good time for sure. I have however, been able to procure, a recent photo of them in their undercover outfits......if you see anything like these folks.....run!!!

Oh Cisco Buddy~ I know you're not a lush. It was just fun joking wit you back and forth and keeping this post up at "see" level for the masses. Jackie and I really hope to you there Saturday.

Adreinne, Scuffle over the Shortreeds again? Man am I missing something here? They have 3 weeks up this way, so they are bound to see all of us and some of us twice... personally, I hope to go to the Bay Area meets too! I have family down there I can drop in on them to cover my room and board in that neck of the woods. I hope to also drag Jackie V down that way with me too! I told her I was bringing her to the next local meet... little did she know it would be the NEXT WEEKEND! LOL (well probably, I am "assuming" that one will be going on next weekend)

The snow's melted and the roads are clear for Turkey and cranberries... come one come all!

Ah bummer Cheryl, I was looking forward to meeting you too... we are fairly close to each other though, we are bound to see each other one of these meets! I'll bring my video camera for sure though, so when the dancin' starts I can send the incriminating evidence up North!
