OK Now tell me about the times that you have had a customer walk in and say "Lets talk cash!"
Don't anyone tell me that they have never done this as it not true,You all have at one point or another.
Some pocket money or funny money is nice.
Don't get me wrong as I do not do this all the time but when someone come in and the job is about $20.00 You have the scrap material sitting around and going to waste..This day you aren't busy. So you say to yourself what the hell! Would you do it or not?

CASH is nice! I doesn't bounce!!!! Of course I do CASH jobs..and I deposit every single penny of that cash and write out an invoice after the customer has left to cover that income!!!!!! Of course I have to "eat" the 15% taxes involved but with the over-inflated prices I charge I can afford to do it.
I hope the revenuers are reading this!!!!!! I declare EVERY penny of income that I earn. I would NEVER try to evade income tax!!!!!!

Funman ,I'm an IRS agent, and I 'm sure you are aware not reporting all taxable income is a federal crime punishabel by not less than 10 years in Fedral prison and seizure of all assets. Everyone that has posted on this topic can expect a visist from one of our agents. Or to expidite matters you can all just send me all your Dave Bulter , Mike Jackson CD's and this matter will be dropped. B.S.Funman

Dave You have a very good answer to this...I take the cash and bank it with the G.S.T. builded into it..... There are many companies out there with the tax build into the cost....
Tasmus... It was a question!
If you ever deal with some people that like the approach of Cash Only! you mark up and build in the factor of taxes and round it off so it looks like you chewed the paper.. You will take a small lose but you will get paid on the spot and It never Bounces!!!! (Good one Dave)
Love the look on their faces when the job is done and you ask for the CASH!
I don't care if they sign the form or not all I do is mark it (Paid in Full) Date.

On the subject of cash, what is the most unusual cash transaction that has happened to you?
We used to do signs for a parking service. The manager would come in for $300 to $400 of signs. He would have this HUGE wad of $1 bills from which he would count out the payment. That much money in dollar bills makes a pretty good sized stack. Vic G

I once re-did a plexi fascia sign in a mall for an arcade. You guessed it, the manager paid me $450.00 in rolls of quarters...and they were darn heavy.
My bank accepted them just like regular cash though, and they definately didn't "bounce".
