On Tuesday we took a bus tour of Hollywood that included passes to the Universal Studio Tour. It was a 12 hour tour, but we seen a pile of neat stuff. Lots of photos to show you.

Wednesday was a fun day. Barb and I headed out alone in the rental car. Went to Venice Beach and then on to OJ Simpson's infamous house. After looking for clues, we were off to Nicole's condo where the actual murder took place. A mailman also tipped us off that the Titanic Lady lived right across the street. Not the actress...the real survivor!

Our next stop was Beverly Hills. We cruised around looking for movie stars and looking at the fancy homes. My last stop was the famous Hollywood sign. I spent ages driving up hills and back roads so I could get as close as possible. I have to say I was not impressed with the kerning.

Tomorrow we are heading south to a small place called Cardiff By The Sea. This is home to Chuck Peterson. We plan to grab a motel there and then head south to San Diego. Tbuk is busy this weekend, but John Arnott and a couple others are in the area. Still hoping Ted can get loose long enough to have supper or a coffee. No plans to cross into Mexico, but you never know.

On Wednesday or Thurs we turn in our rental car and fly to San Francisco and a new adventure. We'll write more as our plans firm up. If you live along our route and want to share a cup of coffee and some chat, please e-mail us at steve@letterhead.com.

You can also reach us at Si & Marty Allen's home. The number is 714-521-4810 or 714-521-2488.

PS...I've made a new friend here in California. Don't tell Ricki!

Well I must say you two are having a BLAST! If you do make it to Diego, and don't get to see the Famous TBuk, check out an area called The Gas Lamp District or another place called Old Town It's a real neat area, If you liked all that Hollywood stuff, you will probabaly like looking at the neat things there too.
sI don't know about any movie stars being there. But I remember Tbuk took me to a place where they filmed the Movie Top Gun, inside you will see where the ladies took their bra off and they hang from the ceilings and lot of them hang on the ceiling fans. You'll like San Diego, I know I did, I stayed there for 3 weeks. If you get a chance check out Tijuana. you can park your car at the border and walk across, snag a taxi and have them take you to "La Calle Revolution."
Oh before I forget there's a place where you can get tickets to places like the Jay Leno show, you have to get there early and wait in line, but there are othe shows that you can get to sit on too. I know it's in Hollywood, by Sunset Blvd. and a block or two west of the Hollywood freeway. I know that probably doesn't help much but maybe some one here might know what area, or the place I'm talking about. well what ever you do, enjoy it to the fullest!
Hope I can get to meet up with you two again at Jackie B's I mean V. Sorry I didn't get to sit long with you guys, you know how it is, had to work....

Hey Steve and Barb..sounds like you are having a blast! San Francisco is nice. Actually I love San Francisco!!! (get some chocolate at Ghiradeli square) Go down to the waterfront and walk around.....when I was there, we found lots of blues music playing that you can just slide into......I know you said you like the blues too. Well, have a great time, and remember, our house is always open to you. I am going to go outside now and build a snowman. Seattle got 8 inches of snow last night!! It's beautiful! see ya.

You two are starting to look an awfull lot like the typical "American" tourist eh...

Oh... by the way I took that same tour of "Beverly and Holly" and the best plsce to stake out for stars is any Beverly Hills
gas station..thats where we saw Telly Savalas...Johnny Carson and someone else lol
