JUST A WORD TO THE WISE. I RECENTLY HAD TO LETTER A VEHICLE WITH GOLD FOIL (FASSON) . THE CUSTOMER WAS IN A HURRY BUT I PERSUADED HIM TO GIVE THE VEHICLE 24 HRS DRYING TIME AFTER RESPRAY. SO, I ARRIVED THE NEXT DAY TO FIND THAT THE VEHICLE HAD NOT FITTED INTO THE CUSTOMERS DRYING OVEN. HOWEVER THE 2K PAINT WAS HARD AND SEEMED DRY. VINYL APPLIED I LEFT. 24 HOURS LATER THE CUSTOMER RANG AND ASKED ME TO CALL ROUND. I`VE NEVER SEEN LETTERS BUBBLE SO BAD, OBVIOUSLY THE SOLVENT WAS FIGHTING THROUGH THE FOIL. SO, 1 WEEK LATER , AFTER STRIPPING THE OLD FOIL OFF, I RETURNED AND RELETTERED THE VEHICLE, THAT WAS 6 MONTHS AGO NOW AND THE JOB IS STILL STABLE. TALKING TO THE VEHICLE PAINTER AFTERWARDS I GOT THE FULL STORY. HE WORKED LATE THE NIGHT BEFORE TO GET THE JOB READY FOR ME THE NEXT MORNING AND USED THE SAME HARDENER AND THINNER INTHE PAINT THAT HE NORMALLY USES WHEN BAKING IN THE OVEN. THANKS !!

Unfortunately, many of us have been down that same path! I will not apply mylar or polyester film to any vehicle before a month's time since it has been painted!!!! Hate having to do it again!
