Thanks for reminding me Janette! I did a little work this morning. I'm being good to myself today. You're only old once (51). I don't usually remember to use coupons but I have one in my wallet for a free car wash on my birthday, but it's starting to rain. Maybe they'll give me a raincheck. I write down my new year resolutions around this time. I'm gonna work less, take a couple of good vacations. Make the small pleasures important. Stop & smell the roses. I'm grateful. Have any of you read "The Artist's Way" by Julia Cameron? I'm enjoying that right now.

Yes, I did, John. One page anyway. That one is hard for me but I'm doing it. I have always been kind of quiet, so even in writing I tend to sum it up in as few words as possible. Trying to write stream of conciousness without trying to get it right or make it make perfect sense is an interesting journey. After getting all that stuff in my head, whatever it may be, down on paper seems to free up my mind for other things for the rest of the day. As for the "artist date" I do that a lot, didn't need much help there. I don't know if this "Artists Way" topic has ever been discussed here before but it seems to me a lot of people in our craft can probably relate. Having been making signs for over 20 years now, looking back it seems the first 10 years I felt I was in the ideal job. Now I'm thinking maybe I need to break out of the routine and find what I'm really meant to do, wherever the path leads.
