Hi Heads! I've been working on a new logo and design for our business cards, brochures etc. which conveys a more design oriented shop producing handcrafted signs.
We have been doing more dimensional work, handpainting and gold leaf and are targeting that market heavily in 2004.
I've used some of the Photoshop tricks learned at the Butler Workshop and also some of the period art from both David Butler and Mike Jackson's Americana Collection.
I have tweaked it over and over and I'm pretty happy with it but would like some other eyes to see it before it goes on everything.
Thanks in advance for your comments and suggestions.

If I saw that logo, I would assume that you are a detail oriented shop doing QUALITY work.
It's amazing to me that businesses that don't realize how important their image is. Perfect example, there is a hair salon just down the street from us that has the WORST, cheapest, ugliest sign I have EVER seen. All that says to me is that the quality of their salon services must be just as bad! I wouldn't take my dog to get a haircut from this place.

I remember a kid at Darrell Jones sign meet in Clinton, Ok. some years back. Man, that kid was on fire with signs. Looks like he still is. Keep up the fine work Mark, looks fantastic.

Very nice- I like the walnut-type background a lot. What about making the 'S's at each end of Signs a tad bigger, and 'nesting' Yearwood down between them a bit more to tie things together logo-like rather than list-like? Well done, I wouldn't mind it for our logo!

Now that design has CLASS!! I remember I think it was Bruce Bowers who won a contest here, the gold color he used was right on the money. I would try and get that gold color for your card. I see you make the first letter slightly bigger then the rest of the words in Signs and in your name. I would do it to Graphics also. Get on with your bad self. Very well executed!!

Trick stuff dude! However, If you can make the address and phone number a little bigger it would be easier to read (by codgers like me who's old eyes are going...!)
