I have abit of a problem!...I find it hard enough pricing individual dimensional signs let alone quantity.
I have been asked by an advertising agency to quote on 11 HDU signs roughly A4 in size that would be about 8.5" x 12", they are to be used on a nature trail with a squirrel emblem and as far as I know a "question" or clue on each sign, so the frame and squirrel are the same on each just small variations in text.
Then from the same place 20 signs again approx the same size for Toilets, 4 different signs done 5 times, they haven't specified a thickness, but I would have thought 1" 25mm and possibly with or without a dibond back? I want to be competitive, but not too cheap, this may lead on to alot of other perhaps larger work at the same place.
As there are not many other shops doing this type of work they have nothing much to compare too....but then make unfair comparisons to things they are familiar too, like a 4 colour print on aluminium or an acrylic sign of some description.
Just add that this would be sandblasted and not routed.

Henry, If I were to figure a job like that. I would figure material for each, and then I would figure about 75% time for the next five, and about 50% labor time on the next 20. After that you are into an assembly line price level, and it should reduce itself until you leave your comfort level. Your profit, I would figure as a complete project and then divide between individual pieces. Bronzeo...

That sounds like a winner pricing idea. I found that I needed to keep a close eye on the competition's pricing if the job is one that means a lot to you.(have a friend call them if necessary).
I don't do the blasting here, but one day, maybe.... I do look for wholesale blasters. It is almost impossible for me to market those without doing them in house.
Henry, I wanted to ask you something about the paper towel issue, but didn't get a response on the email a couple weeks back. I'll send you another email, okay? thanks, Deb
