During the last holiday season I communicated with a supplier who advertises on this site, I wanted to now if he offered a bundled deal on his products. His response was no, but it was definitely something to consider and I bought nothing from him as I wanted my wife to buy some holiday presents from him but their was no incentive. With my quest to better myself in this industry I again am faced with wanting more tools for my mental library, I could purchase them from numerous providers but I really would like to have those that support the letterheads get my money. So pondering this dilemma I thought of the marketing tool that was used when I was in my youth, (time warp) remember S&H Green Stamps or the Blue Chip Stamps? If Steve would reward those who became residents with “X” amount of stamps (or points) and the product distributors would reward each sale with stamps than the Letterhead web site could have a web shopping page that would list the products just like the stamp catalogs had for redemptions. A link from the online catalog would go directly to the suppliers and the reconciliation responsibility would stay in the supplier’s control. Not all items that a supplier sells have to be stamp items but the idea of this type of promotion is to glean sales that have otherwise gone elsewhere. For example I have nothing against Amazon.com but I favor the little guy, so I always lean their direction, this is just another incentive for the independents. If you support something like this than voice it in this thread, if not let silence speak. Hopefully way cool California kinda guy Steve will feel the vibe since he is visiting the wild side of the world (California) and read this and respond from his laptop, na forget the response and enjoy some Sierra Ale.
