I've always believed that the punishment should be the crime. We need to bring him over here and throw him off the top of the Empire State Building. It's not as tall as the Twin Towers were but it's tall enough that he'd have something to think about on the way down.
It could be broadcast on Pay Per View and people could take bets on how long it would take him to hit. Well, actually, if you knew how much he weighed you could figure it out with some simple math, eh?

I believe he has had many people put to death in VERY creul and unusual ways, I think we should get creative and let the families of the people he has put to death carry out the sentence.
Just my opinion!!!!

I think it would be a waste to punish him without taking advantage of an opportunity to teach something.
I propose that we test Newton's laws of gravity and drop a rock at the same time as Hussein to see which lands first. It's something that science teachers could use as an example in their classes. I think kids are getting tired of the feather and rock example.

OK...here's what we do. *Stuff a turpentine-soaked rag in his mouth *Secure this with Duct Tape *Make him weed 1/2" all-caps Helvetica that hasn't been cut deeply enough...no X-Acto allowed! *Make him remove reflective vinyl from a freshly-painted cop car,no hair dryer, no L'il Chisler *Force him to drink a cup of Smith's Creme that has been heavily laced with Smalts *Make him double-coat Chrome Yellow letters on a white masonary wall, very rough, in the hot sun *Get him to find the crumpled Old English E at the bottom of the trash barrel and straighten it out with his teeth
....I can't think of anything else. Betcha didn't know I was so mean! But looking back, heck, I do some of this on a daily basis! Love- JILL

Please don't drop him from the Empire state bldg until I move out from under it.. my flight is cancelled due to heavy snow! Some nerve, he even had new tshirts in his possession, they say, some nerve he's got. I'm glad he's alive to talk... and they better not put him in a "palace prison" like Noriega.

My point was in responce to Joe's post about George Sr.
Just because he "may"( I say may, because I don't know for sure) have helped Saddam years ago when policy was different, Now Joe made the reference to punish George Sr.
Has nothing to do with troops and supporting the Continuence of war.

I am aghast at the brutality in these posts, which even the bits of humor do not temper. Are you the Christians to whom God said: Vengeance is mine?
When I come in on a political post that's when it often get closed or deleted. All of a sudden, then, the post becomes too "political" or "too long or too much". I sincerely hope to achieve that end this time.
It's not as if all you would be "assassins" don't know by now that
Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11,
that much of the WMD's, which we (supposedly) invaded him for were supplied by the US,
that while he gassed his neighboring Kurds old Rummy was there in Iraq visiting, being chummy, and not giving a hoot about it.
If you don't know these things, it's because you chose not to.
Our government has been imposing fear and hatred to get us to go along with their very questionable actions. It is easier to believe ourselves safer now, in spite of all the evidence to the contrary, than to open our eyes and look for truth.
And lastly, before this gets canned, let me quote Hemingway "Never think a war, no matter how necessary and how justified, is not a crime."
I think only those who chose to be blind to what has been going on would think that this was a necessary or justified invasion. We took over a country for reasons that did not hold water and are now being swept under the carpet in all this gloating over having found Saddam Hussein, an inevitability if he was alive. This gloating and venom bespeaks of trying to find justification for what we did retroactively.

The capture of Saddam is good news to most, but once again this type of post is bound deteriate real fast. In Letterville there are no hawks or doves, no Democrates or Republicans. Skin color, nationality, religious beliefs and all that other baggage has nothing to do with our reason for gathering here. In truth, we're interested in all hearts. Those that bleed along with the colder, harder types.
World news and politics are interesting, but this forum is not the place for these debates.
