I was planning to attend the Signworld show in Atlantic City. I usually drive back and forth each day. its just over an hour from here. This is my dilemma. They are predicting that this stoprm wont really do much until afternoon and mostly north of there, towards where I live.
If the storm is bad I would be in need of a place to sleep for the night. I will bring a sleeping bag with me so thats not a problem. But I would like to be assured of having a safe haven prior to leaving in the morning.
Anyone wishing to help a fellow letterhead, please feel free to let me know.
if you give me a number I will call you to set things up etc. etc.

Well Monte thanks for making me smile. I dont think I'm going to take the trip today. I was going down there to say hi to a few freinds and maybe sling some paint. I'm not in the market to purchase ANYTHING at this time.
So I realized that perhaps it wasnt such a good idea to go today. Why risk losing my truck knowing the way New Jersey people drive in the snow. Only some of us NJ people can drive safely.
We have 2" on the ground at this point and it doesnt look like its letting up anytime soon. I know there is only rain on the ground down there, but thats the way it was last year too. We spent the whole night at work plowing snow. I made boocoo overtime last year. Maybe I can do that again this year and have some for a meet in Jan or Feb.

I realized that virtually every time I had to drive in the snow, iwas driving somebody elses 4wd vehicle, so why pay for something I wasnt using.
Though right now I'm wishing I had it

Hey Alan, I had a taxi driver that was very good at that. And just like in the movies, he was hollering and shaking his fist at everybody. Lots of prayers came out of the back seat of that cab. I was glad to get back to Texas.

Harris, Most of the smart Joisey drivers know to get the h*ll outta New Jersey. That's why I'm living in Harrisburg now. Unfortunately, a lot of the bad drivers seem to be following me. In my opinion, any vehicle can get you almost anywhere, 4x4 or not, if you know how to drive

Brian,if you read what I said, you would notice I said it wasn't my driving that I was worried about, its the other idiots on the road.
By the way its 2:20PM and its now giving us icy rain here.
I am getting other work done around here so I'm not as upset as I was earlier today. Maybe if I am lucky I can sneak out early in the morning and still get there.

Alan, About 15 years ago three of us were measuring a job in West Islip. After the measuring was done we were heading to Atlantic City. We really were not paying attention too much or the signs were not too good or something, anyway we had to get on the Verazanno Bridge. All of a sudden the guy driving cut across about 4-5 lanes of heavy traffic to the right, we went up on a curb about a foot high and jumped it to land on the exit ramp. Sparks were flying as the car came down. I had a need to change my shorts, as did a few other people we crossed in front of I'm sure. I guess this would be a "New York Sweep" or would you call it a "Washington Sweep" because that's where we are from?
