I have someone that wants a skidoo name replacement with some funky flames with it.

He is going to bury the vinyl under the clearcoat.
I am going to use Fusion on some of the vinyl graphics and was wondering what effect may happen to it?
[Confused]

why dont you try it on a scrap piece before potentially screwing up his ski-doo, and potentially costing yourself the cost of refinishing the whole thing?

We use Lesonol or Dupont automotive clears on at least 20% of all our signs, and use Avery A6 A8 A9 and Arlon cast and clandered. The first clear has to be fogged on then the rest of the coats can be heavier. If the first coat is too heavy it can attack the vinyl at the edges, but the entire job will usually fish-eye anyway, os if the painter is experienced, it should be no problem.

Dave
After being in the business for many years..This is the first approach with the Kylon Fusion product and have tried sample pieces to my liking.
My question was if anyone else done this and their final outcome.

Brian Thanks for you info.
I thing and am sure it will work if the Clear is done right.
I have seen jobs go Sour with a body person that don't know how to apply.

I have had many paints cleared with the skilled person knowing Curing times.

I think I will be comfortable sleeping at night on this one.
[Cool]
