First of all, I have only had a few strong desires in my life, and here is one of them in the bag as of yesterday. I purchased my favorite vehicle of all time. I have thought that I would like to ghost in a Casa Blanca theme on the rear sides under the back glass and on the rear panel. Or possibly,,, a Bonnie and Clyde theme, since I live in the town where their famous shootout occured. Possibly 3 different themes on the 3 areas, but done in the same semighost method. What whould you do? I know,,,, leave it alone, but I'm an artist, an it has already been highly customized. Also I need a good sample of my Airbrush work for shows. I'm thinking an old silvertone photo color would suffice.

Jack... Cool car. I love the idea of a soft, muted "ghost" mural...a perfect showcase for your airbrushing skills. I personally would keep with the Bonnie & Clyde theme, just on the back I think...the car speaks for itself and you maybe don't want to overdo. Have you seen the photos of Bonnie with the guns posed on the front of the old car? There is one of Clyde 2, but not as popular. He also has a great police mug shot out there somewhere. You don't want to glorify their actions, per se, but their images evoke more to me of the era and your location than a casablanca theme IMHO. I love the silver-y color scheme...could you also add a few blue tones as well? I wanna see pictures when you are done! Have fun. Love- JILL ps maybe do a google image search? I am sure there is a website somewhere.

I like the idea of the ghost images. How about on the back with guns blazing. You could put a pinstripe along the sides with a bullet at the tip of them on the nose?
What am I saying?
After looking at the "Tiger Stripes Tank" you did a while back, I just wanna see picture of what you come up with on this one!!!
Rapid
BTW: Have you done a step by step on the "tiger stripe" painting? Really wanna know how to do that!

JACK!!! that ride is PHAT!, BITCHIN and just SWEET!..... Bonnie and Clyde thing sounds cool.... here are a couple more ideas. Do a tire cover and get a spare tire mount kit for the car and feature some of your fine detail work on that (personally I like the car without one though).... How about a sho-card (maybe a sexy cut-out of a leggy Bonnie) for at the car shows. It's a great way to showcase your many talents and helps with answering repetitive questions about the car. The work I have seen you post here is dead nutz and should be what you show off.... A ghost mural is perfect for effect... just remember if that's all they see.... that's all they expect. I have a new "Paint Bucket" for show and travel www.restoart.com/panel that will be ready for paint soon.... I'm wracking my brain just trying to choose the right color! Most of all have fun with it and don't ease off till ya get there!

I think that body is so beautiful, it doesn't need anything! I'd do something on the inside of the rear side windows, w. gold leaf and tiny detailed art in panels-- perhaps different on each side.

Hi Jack, yeah that is a BEAUTY! I would go with the Bonnie and Clyde thyme. maybe some ghost bullet holes not as much like their car they got shot in. If you ever go to Vegas they have their car at Whiskey Pete's. Here's a web site that probably has more B&C then anyone. maybe some ideas might come out from that spot, the link that has pistol in it is where my pistol is at, I think before this year is up I will sign up with PayPal and see if I can auction it off at one of the bigger online gun auction spots.

What a great truck ! I like the ghosting idea, but I would stick with one theme. I also think you could put your name on the doors, possibly extending into the area under the rear window, using gold leaf, and that would really punctuate the whole thing.IMHO

I like just the Bonnie & Clyde image. Too much is just too much. No matter which you choose, you have got to tint those windows to make it evil looking.

If Bonnie & Clyde are your choice, here are some images of them from crimelibrary.com
I didn't see any images of their bullet riddled car, but I'm sure with a little internet searching could come up with that too. I think a slight sepia tint to the old photographic images would be cool. Then ya gotta get a period suit and hat to wear while you drive around town.

Sweet ride. IMO you should at least wait a while before painting, past the fresh excitement ... the Bonnie & Clyde idea may end up very cool but is that what the car really wants? Got to give it a little time to really know.

I agree with Mark, don't rush to decide anything just yet. It's kinda like naming a boat before you've sailed it. Drive it a bit, get a real good feel for it's personality, then see what you think. Personally, I have always liked very clean, but not too flashy when it comes to this kind of car. I like the idea of doing some nice, flashy work on a shocard or something similar, and keep the car simple.
But...it's your car. Do what makes YOU happy.
Oh...and post pics as soon as you've done whatever is is you decide on! Have fun.
