Jane Diaz and David Butler have teamed up to offer something pretty cool on the Letterville Auction. I'll let Jane explain in her own words.
quote:This is a painting I did this Spring (2003) in anticipation of the Walldog event in Atlanta. IL. I researched the original Walldogs and found out about the Mail Pouch teams that used to travel the country and do barns.
This watercolor is the largest of the series at 12X15". It is professionally matted and shrink wrapped. Your bid will include the cost of shipping.
Dave Butler has all so thrown in his Butler Gold Volume #3 CD. All proceeds will go the American Sign Museum for the Rick Glawson Memorial Fund.
Thanks in advance for your support of this cause. Jane Diaz
If you have something special you would like to put up for auction to raise a few dollars in Rick's name, we'll be gald to help you get it listed. Just call or e-mail us.
So how are we doing as a community to do our part for this cause? It's not important how much you can give, but it is important that we get up off our best intentions and do something right now.
We are a large community. In the past we have done some wonderful things together. There have also been times, we have come up with wonderful ideas and failed to follow thru. We cannot let that happen in this case. It's too important!
The original post on Rick's Memorial Fund is at the link below. You'll learn more about the mission and find a donation form you can print out and mail in along with your donation.
A word of caution. Some have seen the large donations others have given, and feel their contribution might be inadequate or unimportant. Please don't! Remember, rain fills a pail one drop at a time. Every drop is important!
One more thing I want you to do. Once you have sent your donation, let us know via the BB. We don't want to know amounts or anything like that, just some indication we are following through on this. You can post "It's on it's way!" or something similar under this post or the original post. That will ensure these posts stay on top of the BB until our goal is reached and surpassed.
Thanks to all of you in advance.
