Which would be better for a company logo on a linoleum floor, vinyl or paint? The floor is the old type linoleum set on concrete floor so there is no give and has been stripped of all wax and sealant. New sealant will be applied after logo is done.This is in a nursery office, so my concern is longevity.Will two or three coats of sealant be enough to protect design? Which will last longer? When the design does get scuffed or marred in time which will be easier to repair or remove.
IMHO, I think your main concern will be the sealant that is going to be applied after you do the logo. If it takes to paint or vinyl without damaging it is the real concern. Sorta like clearcoating. Things can get wrecked if the sealant coat is harmful to the artwork.
Try doing a test with each to see which one works. In the event they BOTH fail, you might be better off waiting until the sealant is done on the floor and then doing the artwork over it.

I work in schools and we have tile with paint sealed with good waxes but you have to leave the paint dry 1 week and use one shot.The teachers tried to put a strip on a wood floor with varithane over without sucsess.
