Dam, if they dont quit calling a 0zero an O (oh) then what they hell they want..

Lady calls up and says i need this job 123absO(oh) zvb456 .. comes to pick it up and she says
"hey thats not right".. I wanted a ZERO not an O.

Ok lady . repeat the code you wanted.

she repeats 123absOzvb456
Lady You got exactly what you asked for. and you just repeated it. But just for the record a 0 (ZERO) is not an O..

Her reply is .. "well the phone company calls them o's instead of 0 Zero's..

Now. I think she needs her right to vote taken away..

Oh, it's really a zero, oh, no, it may be a naught!

Isn't it a shame the customer doesn't know as much as the signwriter!
(& if they did, then what...!)
Perhaps it's just as well. I don't mean to be chauvenistic, but I've only ever found women like that- a bloke (customer) wouldn't make that kind of complaint, in general, I've found.

Phone company?
What a lame excuse for being a PITA...

Sure, they say "o", but only because they ARE the phone company.
Try doing that with your VIN or driver's license and see what happens.

Brings back memories of my first trip to north America.
Hotel clerk: "Your room number is two, oh, five" ---- I was just standing there, staring at him, while trying to make sense of what I just heard.
The other funny thing is, that I must have missed in english classes, that the proper response to "thank you" is "you're welcome". I was about a week into my trip, when I figured out, that they were not all welcoming us to their country. I thought they were all just really friendly.... [Roll Eyes]

I believe I cured one lady from using oh in place of zero on the phone while making a purchase with my credit card. The credit card I used had 4 zeros in a row and when she repeated the number back to me she said, oh, oh, oh, oh. I told her no one has ever said that to me other than my wife. She said what? I then said, and what are you wearing now? We both had a good laugh.
