Try the guts out of a h.i.d. lamp. The filament thingy is in a very hard glasslike rod a few inches long. Nice and small, maybe 1/4 in diameter. Fits nice in the kit and will hone an edge really quick. use an old burned out lamp and be careful not to cut yourself.
