It was good to see Duncan Wilkie down at the mall today. Although his visit was brief, it gave me just the positive lift I needed today.
Thw mural wall he saw prepped is now blocked out with color... two coats. TOmorrow we should finish the first section (one third the mural) and be ready to tackle the next section while the mall folks prep the last third.
Duncan did take a few digital pics and promised to post them soon though... just to prove we aren't on vacation here.
Things continue to go well... and we are counting the days until we are done and get to go home at last.
Thanks for dropping in Duncan! Come at meal time next visit and I'll treat you to some doggone good Chinese food!!

Great meeting you again Dan. It was a great eyeopener for young Steven who was a grade 9er job shadowing me yesterday. I'll post some pics later, and you can add the comments Dan. I'll try drop in again soon. Cheers,

Thanks for posting the pics of our job in Edmonton, Duncan.
The pics show various elements of the job in all phases of progress. One shot shows me welding the framework on a column... then there's the pics of the expanded metal lath - ready for the concrete work. There's a couple of shots of the girls hard at work with the final paint finishes. and a couple of shots of already finished pieces.
Today was a banner day... in the morning we welded up a storm til the park opened... only two and a half columns to go. In the afternoon Rebecca and Carla did a whole bunch of painting, Phoenix finished wiring a couple of pieces, ready for mud tomorrow. And Wendy & I worked late to finished one third of the mural... The swing stage gets moved along to the final part tomorrow morning first thing!
The project is coming together faster & faster as the whole crew anticipates going home at last!!
It's getting more fun all the time!

That's Heavy Duty Dan! I wouldn't mind being on your crew. I don't mind heights so the swing stage would be kind of cool because that's one way of being high that I have never been on. I took a friend of mind on a job to coat out with just paint a wall simular to those guys on the swing stage, but it was a scissor lift, he freaked out on me...said it was rocking to much I ended up doing all the top section of coat out. Great Project, keep up the great work! When I grow up I want to be just like you yous the hombre!!
