I just made my first static cling decal, white static with red and blue vinyl lettering.
When I pressed the static up to my window, finger marks appeared on the white static part. When I pull the static off, they disappear. I know this sounds so dumb but I've never used it before and it looks like crappola. Any suggestions? Is it the static? Help.........arrrgghhhh! Thank you in advance.

It could be finger prints on the back of the cling material or on the glass. Clean both really well to see if that helps.

Try applying it wet. It might look streaky at first but it will dry and look good.
