I am trying to solve my white priming problem by importing a illustrator.eps or .ai into Signlab5. The file looks clean in illustrator, but when I import into signlab it looks pretty bad and some parts of the artwork dont import at all. Anyone else use these two programs together that can help me with advice?

Illustrator 9 and 10 actually save as PDF files that have an AI extension which explains why apps that expect the AI 1 through 8 file format have problems. In AI 9 and 10 ,you have the option of saving as a previous version. Try saving as AI 8. Signlab E61 has some impovements to try top handle Illustrator 9 and 10s new way of saving.
