A really nice guy! What talent! Brian has a really fresh twist on design! He revealed to me that he would like to market his design to any letterheads or companies from his place in Belfast. Doesn't his work shine!? We were happy to have you visit, Brian. I never got a pic with you and Arthur! It was a last minute visit here since Brian needed a lift from O'Hare, and I was in the middle of everything except signs! We had a great cookout and I actually found him Guiness! Jay has a nice shop doesn't he! (The shop adjoining Jay has wonderful cartoon mythological hand carved creatures from comic series, wasn't it interesting?

I met Brian at the Cork meet in '99, and he gave me a great panel from the meet. Saw him again at Terry Colley's where he explained how one can be arrested for being "simple drunk" in Belfast. How, I queried, does it become "complicated drunk"? Brian assured me it gets complicated "when you take a swing at the copper."
Cheers!

If you put some Tattoos on those white arms, and grew that white hair out, I'd swear that was Johnny Winter! Great to see Brian found his way out of the pubs, and across the pond. I have room for him here, if he'd like to get some sun on those lily white legs of his. HAA!

Well Luke, as you can see by the last photo I made it into a pub here, and my lilly-white legs and looks were quite a catch for a stunning blonde girl!!!!! The Irish charm works a treat!!! I must say, Florida sounds tempting (in between hurricanes). Maybe next year, and that's not far away, however first I am at the Winter Muster (are you coming for my seminar on design....and alcohol consumption.....and how the latter so often inspires the former.....???), then down to sunny Phoenix for a month on an artist's residency. How can I fit it all in????!!!! Anyway.....good to hear from you Luke.....I'll certainly keep Florida in mind. Good luck.

Hey Miles...yeah, he is the most traditional Sign Painter I know! Fantastic Work and you gotta be in attentence for his explanation of Designs. It puts everything in a whole new light! If you read this and wonder how things like this come about.....it all started with responding to a Letter in SignCraft along time ago. The sky is the limit....it's all out...you gotta make it happen!
