Today we had a wonderful surprise...

As we came back from a lunch break there was a fellow Letterhead waiting for us.

I first have to apologise that I can't remember her name offhand. She introduced herself again today but the noise level was so high in the park today I missed it. I thought I'd get it from the data base or from NAIT's site but I couldn't find it in either place. If you read this please refresh my memory. I do apologise! [Frown]

I first met her a few years back on a tour of the sign program at NAIT. This is a technical school in Northern Alberta, specifically Edmonton.

She was also at the Banff meet with a gaggle of students.

I met her a couple other times, both on the job here in the mall and at the school when I dropped in as a guest speaker.

They do a great job there teaching new recruits to the sign industry. I believe they offer a one year very intensive program. Some great sign folks have started their careers at the school.

She is currently taking a year off from teaching but checks in here regularly.

It was great to see her again, and she took the time to bake my hard working crew some home made brownies. And they sure tasted GOOD! She also was thoughtful enough to bring me a can of ice cold coke too. [Smile]

Too cool!

Thanks a bunch from the whole crew!!

Hi Dan! That was Rita Schening that you met. She had instructed me at Nait the year you came by to see us and had been a big influence on me, what a great gal! I have been in contact in both Rita and Susan since I have been out in the Sign World and they are very encouraging to me.

When I get some time I gotta come see ya down at the mall.
