the canon w7250. It is a 24" inkjet printer that the documentation says will print on canvas as well as polypropelene, and of course paper. Does anyone know if this machine can/will print on vinyl? The print quality looks great, and with lamination ought to be outdoor durable. Any help, insight or input is appreciated!

If it's using dye base inks.....you won't get very long life outdoors even if it's laminated. The sun will fade it out in a month or two. You don't have to laminate if you use the right medias. The media makes the print water resistant, the laminate just help keep from getting scratches, etc... The sun will fade it out in a month or two.

If it's using pigmented inks the outdoor life will be much longer.

I had a Encad Croma 24. It would print on papers, backlit film, water resistant materials, and also canvas. Problem was it was very....very....slow.
