It was a hoax Randy. The teddy bear icon is an actual symbol for some type of debugging program used with Javascript. If you don't do that sort of thing then deleting the file does no harm. But, if you do, then you should just leave the file where it's at. If you type in "teddybear virus" & do a search, you'll find lots of info pertaining to it.

Thanks, Doug.

Randy, it was me who sent the message, and THERE WAS NO ATTACHMENT OR VIRUS WITH IT. Just a warning, that turned out to be a hoax (not mine, I don't find this stuff funny!) Sorry about the confusion.

you say it reacts to the word "virus", then you say it wouldn't react unless there was a virus. Do you realize how this sounds? I don't know if you are trying to say Lotti sent you an infected email, but if so, I think you should think about what you are saying. She doesn't even have any infected file... it was all a hoax & she was considerate enough to contact you & several people when she thought she might have. I got her emails & I don't know how much faith to put in your schools AV software let alone your understanding of it... but I have total faith in my AV software & there was NO VIRUS IN LOTTI'S EMAIL

Sorry Randy, but that post comes across like an accusation, & I wholeheartedly believe it is an unfair one.

If I misread your post... lets clear this up, & I will edit this, but to me, your post is still crying wolf [Frown]
