Anybody know of a really good book on developing, designing and implementing wayfinding programs? A local private school has asked me to develop a comprehensive program for their campus. It's only about 10 buildings, but there is absolutely no signage and no way for a visitor or delivery truck to know where to go. I found a really good one on Amazon, but it's $250. I also saw one on ST Books, but, like a lot of their stuff, I think it may be a bit superficial. If anybody has done this type of project before perhaps we could work out a consultant fee. Anyway, I'm open to suggestions.

Mark, I suggest you contact Rick Chavez. Here is a recent book related post by Rick It may be of interest, but will also give you Ricks email to ask him directly.
You might want to try contacting... Society for Enviromental Graphic Design. SEGD for short. I was a member for a few years but got busy with other stuff. Hit the search engines and I'm sure you will find them.

Hey Mark! The best book on wayfinding is by Paul Arthur, he breaks down wayfinding into a science. The book is expensive though, a must have if you are going to do a lot of it. My bosses book does touch on it, with some good infoormation, Paul Arthurs book is the definitive study of it. Both good books to have. http://www.paularthur-wayfinding.com/
