Hi everyone, as some of you know my baby girl (22)is getting married. I have made a couple of banners for other people getting married before, but I would like any suggestions for a "more personalized" banner. I am going to print it, so I can go with all the outlines, drop shadows, highlites, bevels. But in words is what I'm looking for?
I was waiting for some pictures to add to the banner, because it's a surprize, the ex wife was supposed to send some of their (daughter & groom) latest pictures. Not sure if she's going to come thru with it, if you have an ex you know how that can be.
I'm open eyes and ears, she gets married the 18th of this month.

Why not make them a home sweet home, or a Family Name Reverse glass piece for the new couple to hang in their pad?

Hey Cisco

Buy Tyvek or Typar Banner material.

The reason I suggest this is because of the weight factor.
"Do your "Digital or Painted Pictorial" and leave an open space.

At the Receiption, take down the banner and pass it around with a (Sharpie Maker) for all the Guests to SIGN...

What every the size you make it.. Remember to supply the tube for storage.

I hope that all goes well.
You must be a proud father.

Try using Zaph Chancery for the banner copy.
I looks like something that goes with the
church thing; like the the Bible copy.

Cisco, Maybe you could stop by on your way back.
I'll be home, and it sure would be nice to see
you again.

Best Wishes to you and your loved ones.

Well fellows thanks for the suggestions

Ron, great idea, I'll ask and see what they would like.

Raven, also great idea, I'll keep the that in mind about the storage container

Richard, thanks for the concept, not sure what route I'll take yet on font style. And if you was on my way home I would stop by, only thing the wedding is in San Jose, you're quite a ways from the way I go back to Fresno. One of these days I'll head out your way.

Now back to the original question "words-I'm looking for words"...where the ladies at? I thought for sure some of you ladies might have something you can suggest. And the rest of you fellows, don't think this is just for the ladies to answer, I'll be sitting here next to the puter till the 18th waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting.... [Dunno]

And the two shall become one
ONE-derful!!

Or two hearts joined with their names in them
What comes from the heart goes to the heart. or Sharing hearts ... sharing lives.

If you follow the suggestion Allowing guests to sign the banner perhaps two doves on a background of their wedding color, their names, and worded something like "Friends and Family who have shared our lives ...sharing the beginning of our lives together."

Head down to the local drug store or supermarket and check out the wedding card section - there is tons of inspiration there. Two recent invitations -
"To love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides"
and
"You may only be one person to the world, but to me you are the world"

If you go with the banner signing idea, make sure your material, & your pen are compatible. Often the pen will not leave a permanent mark & that could spoil a good thing real quick if things get smudged... w/o even considering getting on someones good clothes/gown etc. Also, if special pen is required... bring 3!
