last year at Jordo's meet a hand went up for Renmark in SA... since no one has heard any different we were hoping that the invitation still stands?
also 3 years back John Rigby asked could he host 2004 as the anniversary of his first meet in Wagga (1994) but again no ones has heard from Riggers in a few years so we arn't sure about his feelings on the matter.
If SA isn't an option and Riggers isn't keen then Kel Lawton in Brissy will be gently nudged into saying ok to be the 2004 host.
Rod maybe you could ask River Graphics if he's still interested?
cheers gail

I twisted Kel's arm as hard as possible, but no go His excuse was lack of room, work commitments and the fact he want's to start to "retire" next year.
I'd have it here but lack the facilities. It's also a residential area and I don't have an official permit to operate from home Besides, Sue ain't to keen on attending another Meet ... did Fred's in Oklahoma with a compressed vertabrae, and broke her nose and took large quantitiies of skin off her face falling over a stool in the dark at Cairns! Jinxed? But she does want to thank everyone for their concerns. Especially Suzy Bedggood (our host) who drove us to Cairns Hospital and sat with us until 4am Sunday morning.
South Australia meens another plane ride Rigby's is at least within a long days drive. Give him a call Gail.

We'd be happy to host a letterheads here, but NOT next year! still need a bigger shed first......
Gail, I've a great pic of you airbrushing the bear on the fridge which I'll post if I don't get into strife in a few days. We've only just got back from Cairns on late Sat. night (11th) after a 3960 km round trip. Now we need a holiday- gee the driving is tedious, glad I'm not Ron on a bike! The kids enjoyed it though, especially snorkelling at Green Island, and swimming at Malanda Falls & Lake Eacham, and the Crystal Caves at Atherton.
Bowen has a nice collection of some 26 murals all over town, with a free guided tour every Wed. morning, and they're well painted. Nanango has quite a few too, but not in the same class as Bowen's ones. Best wishes

You don't need a bigger shed. I can organise you a very large tent for free. "Army" Dave was talking about scoring generators and tents etc free for a meet too!
I also have two Hire Companys as customers who I'm sure would pitch in with tables, chairs, portable loos etc ... either free or at a reasonable rate. Contacts too with a Camper Van/Trailer Company too.
Give me a call and we will toss some ideas around.
It would be great to have a "Country Meet" with everybody camping on site

Jon, Joan also says 'Not next year' ! I think we need to give the 'southerners'- Brett & Rod (Rigby too?) another chance- they're ahead of us in the hypothetical queue. I forgot the other reason, except Joan wants me to become somewhat 'normal' for a year to get over the hectic life I've put her through! (this is our 14th year of marriage!) We always have a lot on over the June to November timeslot.

Good idea, good map Gail, tho' I don't think Toowoomba is quite that far west? (sorry, I didn't mean to be your spell-chequer!)
And it goes without saying, any up-overs are welcome here too ( & no we haven't seen a snake within a mile of here in the past two months either!)
Has a location been dicided yet for the 'official' meet?

It would be great to see as many as possible guys/gals from canada, america, Ireland (etc.)good of ya to put a map up so they can find there way around oz. A minor detail thou, I'm further south than the cross shows in south australia, i'm real close to where the NSW, VIC and SA borders all meet. Just saved ya all about a days drive heheheh.
Dont forget the meet in Tassie on the second otr third weekend of Feb 2004. (not finalised as of yet but will be around then) I will jam with the travelling letterhead show if it passes here as well, any excuse to sling paint, drink beer and tell lies. Hope you can make it down to oz. the fine print is ya gotta take me home with ya Ian, I'll put the screws on Brett, I know he wants to hold it.
Cheers!

Just got these pix back from the printers: One of Gail airbrushing the fridge, and Darren doing a bit of bodypainting (he's painting one of the Aussie flag southern cross stars, in case you're wondering)
(and yes, Darren is a short bloke compared to Gail) (and I think I'd better hide my camera next time, or as I mentioned earlier, it'll get me into strife, though I do kind of remember Gail doing something like this with a pic of Mike Lavallee!!!)
See what you all missed in Cairns! Best wishes

Ha ha! well done Gail! Gee I gained some weight on the drive up & back- must have been the constant supply of peppermints needed to keep me awake while driving.
Actually, I thought you may have got hold of the photo John Jordan took of me signing Ace's mahl stick- now there's an incriminating pic. Hopefully, John underexposed it or the photoshop refused to print it on grounds of obscenity or something like that!
Best wishes
