It's that time again to remind you to get yer ass to the event on 18th Sat. Bunny will not put up with any crap and she says there will be table dances for everyone. Without becoming extremely harsh again... there will be only orange alerts to warn those who may waffle. She's gettin' meaner and also working out at Gold's gym. So be careful and get them tickets filled out and back to her NOW! For those out O'towners, no worry, cash will work at the gate. Don't miss this one.
I warn y'all CrazyJack

Wow, Heath at two events THIS year? I'm gonna fall over. (of course that condition may be caused from the tequilla in my Margarita's, but it works for both occasions.)

Matt...welcome to the world of Letterheads!!!!
We all have different skills and expertise....you don't have to be able to handletter.....but if you want to learn, someone will be happy to show you how it's done....it's for vinyl people, pinstripers, window painters, muralists....anyone who loves signs and the craft that creates them.
A Letterhead meet is a chance for us to get together and share ideas, skills, a few laughs...
AND we can write if off our taxes!
Just BE there, enjoy yourself, bet you'll want to go to more!

The Harvest Moon gathering is not a straight up Letterhead meet. It's at a suppliers, and has tables set up for some vendors to hawk their wares. There are tables and paints and stuff for projects to happen. Sometimes there is a place set up for stripers to work on cars. There are often some novelty displays like Superfrog and Richard demonstrating his rattle can art. There are folks printing ceramic cups and plenty of vinyl folks there too. There is a meal served and time for sharing. There are supplies sold and brochures given out for some of the newest products and color charts. The hospitality is warm and the hosts put in many hours of sweat and thought into making our day one of rememberance.
The PSS meet started as a "Thank You-customer appreciation" thing that they paid for. As years passed, it took on a more commercial face. The Sierra Sign Artist Association did Harvest Moon for many years. When they experienced a decline in members sharing the responsibility of the meeting, PSS graciously opened their door to house the event. Soon it became theirs and took on the more commercial face.
If meeting other sign folks and opening the opportunity for networking is all you benefit from this meeting, it would well be worth it.
I spend a lot of money at PSS and for me to get to visit face to face with those that take my phone orders all year long is a pleasure. Seeing the smiles that the phone limits me from is an annual event I look forward too. I get to thank them for taking such good care of me throughout the year.
I just wish it was held on the coast in a cooler location that wasn't 4 1/2 hours away!

You've had your brushes longer than you had your daughter, and your brushes are cheaper. Hey buddie, hope you have a well blessed day that filled with warm moments that will provide pleasing memories until your memory fails.

Another letterhead that can't make it is; Jim Ingrim, a gold leaf master. Greg Ludlum, Jim Mosher, and I will be taking his place. We have #25 pieces of glass, that will be gold leafed, and silkscreened three times.
>>>Cisco- I'm delighted to hear about your daughters marriage.
>>>Mike- Usually we get together afterwards, and go out to dinner. Hope you can make it.
>>>Matt- I'm sure you'll have fun at this meet. There are alot more than just handlettering being done at Harvest Moon. Amoung other perks not mentioned like; door prizes, samplers, and eye- candy will all be there.
This is going to be a fun one. I'm glad to hear that Jackie, and "the other side of the moon" Heath will be there.

(I have a conflict with a comics convention here in town, and I'll be SELLING things at the convention instead of BUYING at PSS. I can't afford to give up $1000 of income for one day's work).
Harvest Moon is a good event. It really a small trade show, but the opportunity to meet people, get questions answered, and SEE all the products you might only read about.

Yep, always something to learn... I'll be demonstrating the Accudome product, There will be pre-made stuff to take or you can try it on your own to get a feel for how it works... I'll also have a couple panels showing the various uses for the stuff.
