I need to make a 4'x6' board with magnetic strips about 1" x 12" that stick on it in columns kind of like a menu board but its actually for an annual event in a park with a list of donor names. Something like metal faced MDO or dibond or alumalite except it must be steel. I could laminate white coated steel to a rigid board, but I would like to buy it with as much of the work done as possible so I can just letter it. Also it needs to be on a stand. I was thinking angle iron stakes to push into the grass. I suggested to the customer Edge printig the lists on removable vinyl but they want to be able to move names around themselves. Does anyone know of a company that makes something like this that I can just order and letter? maybe something with a nice frame and stand. Thanks

Try contacting a factory that makes appliances if there is anything like that in your area - Magnets stick to fridges, so there must be sheets of that stuff available somewhere. Plus I'd bet that you can get it with a white enamel finish.
Oooops - sorry I just reread your post and realized thet that isn't what you are looking for.

"rubbersteel" is a magnetic-receptive product with a nice white finish, semi-rigid, yet slightly flexible like magnetic material, has an adhesive backing to adhere to a more rigid backing substrate. You can get more info from Product Sign Supply 1-800-540-9199
