Just thought this was well, anal. For the last 4 days, I have gotten at least 2 spams a day trying to sell me software to kill spam! Anyone else see the humor (or stupidity) in this?

I dont get many of the penis pills spams but I do get a lot to increase my bust size.... yeah, these spammers know their target audience..
I've been getting a lot advertising weight loss (ok they got me there) and anti-depressants, and whoever this "Jodi" chick is, I'm sure she wouldn't like having all these people passing around emails about her.

Kissy, it is neither stupid or humourous, just another marketing ploy. Create a problem where one did not exist (flood you inbox with spam), and low and behold offer you a solution to get rid of spam. My way of thinking this is the same as virus's. Create a virus, release it, watch it drive everyone nuts, and then come up with virus protection software, look like a hero, and make a killing, just don't get caught. Nice gimmick. Just my paranoid ramblings. Spam, the breakfast of champions. Monti Python had a nice little spoof about Spam, great little tune to go with it. 'Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam, ....Spam, Spam, Spaaaam wonderful Spam,Spam,Spam,Spam. (mis-spent youth)

For the last couple weeks, I've been thinking I'm having a minor identity crisis. My spam has solved that problem! I now know that I am a bald, middle-aged, overweight man with erectile dysfunctions, small boobs and seriously in need of re-financing my home to pay off my enormous credit card debt. Oh yeah, I also need to use a dating service and need investment advice.

Right now spam would be nice to see. It seems that someone managed to hack my Hotmail account over the weekend and, as a result, I changed the password. Whoever it is has since been trying to use it so much, and logged in with the wrong password so many times, that Microsoft has suspended the account.
Given that and the frequencey of spamming, telemarketing calls and the like, how come no one has ever been prosecuted for criminal trespass or harrasment? Isn't the registration with the national "Do Not Call" list an electronic equivalent to a "No Solicitation" sign? Maybe if it were, spamming would also be considered the same form of harrasment and penalties could be more easily defined and enforced.
Personally, I'm tired of having my computer and phone used as a marketing tool without my consent. Physically, they are my property and I reserve the right to use them as I see fit without having them altered or invaded by someone whose sole intent is to make money by continually intruding. It's not only an invasion of privacy, but property damage as well. Maybe someone ought to start suing theses "marketing" companies for these aforementioned offenses instead of allowing the Constitutional right to free speech to be perverted by these people.
They are the electronic equivalent of pushy salesmen and trespassers and should be subject to the same penalties as someone would for "breaking and entering". When a hacker or spammer alters your property or renders it nonfuntional, it's the same thing as busting down a door and hitting the computer with a bat.
At the least, they should be held accountable for any repair or replacement costs.
Ok, that's my rant for the day. Rapid

a young client was in picking up a job when I was griping about spam faxes. I usually don't have a return fax number, but he said I could tape some black paper into a loop long enough to cycle through my fax machine on a continuous "send" until I spend all the victims ink/foil or toner. I imagine most fax spam is sent by a computer... but his little vengence theory put a smile on my face even if its usefullness may be next to none.

I recently changed servers and since then have been receiving tons of spam..all of it with the intent to get me to by a bigger willie or viagra, mortgages, prescription drugs and the like...one common thread to them all....
deliberate misspellings in the subject matter so that filtering by the subject line becomes virtually impossible!!!!
This is really maddening....will these anti spam filters still be able to eliminate these?

I must be lucky because on average I may only get 4-6 spam mails a week. I have yet to get a virus.
I disconnected my old fax machine three years ago and started using my computers fax capabilities.
Instead of wasting expensive toner on a conventional fax machine I have the ability to look at the senders fax to decide if I need or want to print it out.
I just delete all the junk fax's and even at that I dont get too many of those. I share my fax line with my dial up line so the computer is connected to the internet most of the time and the junk fax senders cant get through to me.
There are rare occasions when a client may be trying to send me something but they will just call back and say they cant seem to get the fax to send. I'll just say something that sounds kinda dumb and say to give it another try. I just disconnect and then they can send.
Haha Im such a clever bastard.

Spammer are desperate and mindless, as well as boorish, dishonest and lower than a snake's rump in a ditch. The ploys yall mention are discussed every day at the alt.spam newsgroup.
You can avoid a lot of spam by disabling stored Cookies. Always use a fake addy, or throw-away mail account, when visiting newsgroups. Register with SpamCop, and report every piece of trash, Find out if your ISP has a mail-block. I've been getting maybe 1 spam a week, on average, for the past couple years.

I don't know about the ones for the breasts but the penis enlargment pills definately work. So good in fact I won't have to spend money on a Holloween costume this year. I'm just gonna take my clothes off, toss my dick over my shoulder and go as a gasoline pump.
