We spray a lot of plastic with Grip Flex. If there are any Fisheyes, we just add a few drops of "Smoothy"...end of problem. However sometimes we spray Krylon out of a spray can on plexi, and often have trouble with fisheyes. Any suggestions on what to whipe the surface with prior to spraying Krylon? Cheers,

Duncan,We make a "wash solvent" that is extradonary ! It gets rid of SILICONE,GREESE,OIL,NICOTENE. For a free sample (so you can test yourself) call Connie 800-350-7751 BTW, its works much better then the solvents of the past ! But its "NON HAZARDOUS" "NON FLAMABLE" What could be better ! Roger

Duncan.."Smoothie" is the worst product ever sold to mankind. Once you have used it once you will have fisheye problems from then on. It is just silicone that you add to paint. Once you add it and spray then the silicone is in the air and on the walls and on the ceiling and everywhere. I wish they would outlaw it's sale. In the last 10 years that I have been spraying in my new shop, not a bottle of that wretched stuff has been allowed within 10 miles!!!!!!! Clean the surface properly and you won't need it. But if you have already used it...be prepared to use it in YOUR shop forever!
Sorry for the rant but it IS terrible stuff! And it reduces the adhesion of paint! bummer stuff.
Thought I had better add this..I am speaking from over 30 years experience in the "spraying" business. But use it if you wish. ------------------ Dave Grundy AKA "applicator" on mIRC "stickin' sticky stuff to valuable vessels and vehicles!" in Granton, Ontario, Canada 1-519-225-2634 dave.grundy@quadro.net www.quadro.net/~shirley

OK, I'm going to admit it ! When I was just a young wiper snapper, I would get so p.o.'d over that "fisheye" problem ! Your right in the middle of a complete paint job in the booth, everything is goin so well, all of a sudden boom, fish eyes on the top of left quarterpanel !!! It was like a air raid siren goin off in my head ! "now what do I do" So one day I ordered up the infamous can of SMOOTHIE, oh geez, can''''t let anybody know, they'll kill me !!
I started using it just when the "fisheyes" broke out (which were showing up with more regularity), then I found myself keeping a can in the booth and another in the bay. Well you know it wasn't long before EVERY gun of paint I shot had a couple little squirts a SMOOTHIE in it !!!
Ok, thats all the "true confessions" for this guy !!
