Tuesday night while surfing here, felt a "shock" go down my arm and woke up with no pain after a full nights sleep. (The first in a long time.) The last couple of days I have actually been able to PAINT! Seems I have unpinched a nerve. COOL!
Last week I had MRIs done and finally got the results from the doc today.
Guess I'm tougher than I look. Not only is the rotator cuff torn, I also have managed to get 2 herniated discs as well. (neck) Therapy continues and I'll be visiting the pain clinic soon for some steroid shots. Oh joy...NOT!
Although the last few weeks have been difficult to get thru with all the waiting and worry, I'm just glad to spend some time out in the shop again without paying for it later with my friend Mr. Ice Pack.
Now I can work on a cure for that nagging pain I get every month....my bills. Rapid

When I was in my early teens I played quarterback for a neighborhood football team (Troy Aikman, I wasn’t). Somehow, I hurt my throwing elbow and for months, I could not straighten it, nor throw a ball beyond ten yards. One day, disgusted with the injury, I grabbed a football and flung it as far and hard as I could. I felt a “shock” in my arm and henceforth, my elbow was fine–full motion without pain and I had my passing range back. Troy Aikman’s reputation, however, remained secure.
I hope your recovery continues.

I spent two days a week at a chiropractor for a few years, until one day I found out what it's like to go airborne between the first and second turns at Weedsport, NY Speedway. I landed upside down in a corn field. That was 12 years ago and I haven't felt a similar pain in my neck or back since. I guess my chiropractor isn't so happy about the lost revenue, but I don't mind the way I feel one bit.
PS: don't go out and flip your car to get rid of your pains.
ie: Don't try this at home
and all those other legal mumbo jumbo disclaimers

Dang it, Ray... I told you that all that patting yourself on the back was going to catch up with you! LOL!
Seriously, hoping that your mending is quick and as painless as it can be.

What a wonderful well rounded bunch of responses Ray! Each equally endearing in thier own special way, with sincerity or sarcasm.
That really says a lot for you, as Ray- the person. (not to Sound too nuts and Twigs and Stars and shhhhhhhhhh -what we can't say here.)
Print this whole thread out, please, and bring it with you to the pain clinic.
I'm Glad to hear you are on reprieve from your pain, and I hope you have a smooth recovery... really.

Hey, Bruce, now that I started my third panel yesterday, (didn't like the first one and dropped and dented the second one yesterday while a taking picture of it...sheesh ), is my leg gonna go bad for kicking myself in the arse all afternoon I trust your medical judgment on this. After all, you are a Doctor, Cas. Just cajoling
Thanks Stefenie. I'm really a jerk, but I've had years of practice hiding it...
Thanks all for the well wishes. Rapid
