Hey, Kids.
Need some EXPERT advice.
Client just called and needs 6 signs (all interior) Just Black with K.O. white lettering/logo. They are all just ovals of different sizes to hand on the walls, the counter and a few other places. So...
WHATE SUBSTRATE SHOULD I USE? I'm putting black vinyl on and weeding out the logo/letters.
Thanks.
mark
OH, the sizes range from 4 X 8 to 2 X 3...

I would go with 1/8" or 3/16" black acrylic plexi.

Mark, I use a lot of Arbitibi Board for quick interior and TEMPORARY outdoor signs, It might be available in Mass. Primarily, its a 3/16" thick tempored masonite with a white enamel finish. Mostly sold for bathroom sheathing. I've had good luck spraying, after skuffing, with anything from Krylon to Dupont Acrylin Enamel. Careful cutting from the back leaves just a dark edge. Hope this helps.

I would think PVC (Sintra, or other brand) would be perfect for this. Its lightweight, cuts easily, comes in black or white, and you don't need to paint or seal the edges. You could router a bunch of ovals from one piece (or get them done from somebody like Anchor Blanks).

If you want a cheaper alternative, you could use good old Coroplast, or even FoamCore, but the Sintra would look nicer.
