The last three days have been a real joy for me in my brand new shop...
I KNOW where everything is! Each time I need a tool I know exactly which drawer, which cabinet, which shelf it is on. And it's all in one building, on top of that! And it is NICE!
The crew is lost however, each time THEY need something. Everything is filed by my system according to my logic. It pays to be king of your own kingdom, no matter how small.
New shop rules mean everything is returned from whence it came after anybody uses it.
The last years of rumaging for tools in cramped and inadequate quarters is but a fading memory just like the storage units and damp garden sheds!
I'm sure they will get used to it all in time.

Just bungy chord all your tools to their respective locations so they'll always come back.
Did we miss the coronation ceremony, or are you a self proclaimed 'king' of Giggle Ranch? I always thought that ranches were run by land barons.
How are you finding the acoustics in the building, is it as quiet as you were hoping? Can you grind all night without waking the neighbours? Those walls are pretty thick.
