I've got two of those. One from my mentor 10 or so years ago and one a customer gave me because it was sitting around his garage and he didn't know what it was. I've never tried to use it, seems pulling a quick line was always faster. What are they worth?

At a meet in San Jose one time, Gary Jenson walked around aa Bronco, with a crowd watching and him talking, laying a stripe. He got to the other end of the car, turned around and followed the previous line with another one. He had 4 minutes into this process. Probably fifteen into the surface prep. Gary pulled out one of those Swirly Q's, that were just prototyped, and did some decorations on the stroke ends.
After watching this, I commented to Mike Clines that I should get one of those stripers. Mike said "Practice with one for fifteen years, or practice with a sword for fifteen years. Either way, that's what it takes to make a line like that."
