Im sorry Glenn. I know I've seen it before also but can't remember when or where for the life of me.

Somebody here will likely identify it I'm sure.

Have you tried running it through What the Font?

I've had really good success in the past with it.

Here's the link- http://www.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/

I want to say a bastardized version of "Newtext" but the cap "R"is wrong...whatever it is I'm betting it has been bastardized because the serifs are not consistant thoughout the letters.

I'll be watching this post to find out my self!

Thanks for the effort guys. [Smile]

Centura sent me the EPS file of their logo. The problem I have is that they want the word "Mortgage" (RBC Mortgage) for some lettering that I have to do on an awning. The people at RBC have no idea or who to contact to find out.

(I love my job)

Terry, I'll give it a shot.

Thanks!

It's not Rotis though very simalar, I think I have the typeface but I can't seem to find it, with 10,000 fonts it's hard to find.

Rick, I know what you mean... my font library is 16k+, but I would bet less than a third of it gets used on a regular basis.

Rotis family was the first thing that came to my mind but it isn't it.

Just ran an automated search in FontExpert comparing it to more than 30,000 fonts and it also came up with nothing close.

My guess is that it is either a proprietary typeface or it was modified by someone to create the logo.

Thanks for trying. [Smile]

I've been on the phone with the corporate office.

I'm waiting to hear back from them.

Jay, thank you for the e-mail.

Sadly, Rotis wasn't it.

This one has me stumped. Hopefully, RBC will call me back soon or my client is going to have to make a decision about how much effort (i.e. -his money) I put into this.

Seems like nothing is simple anymore. -

Thanks again!

I did a little snooping, the font is most likely a cutsom typeface. The designers are http://www.gottashzrh.com/index.html, the designer now works at http://www.brandlogic.com/.

There is most likely a corporate manual with a disc that has that typeface. Your client probably needs to go to thier corporate office and get a copy of the Identity Standards, usuually the Marketing Department has that, before any verbeage change or sign is done, that way thet are inline with thier comapany's identity. Knowing how the game is played, you will probaly have to go back and forht with corporate before any siign is done, I hope you get a little extra for the hassle. It's no fun for the designers either, I still get calls for a iidentity standard I did 10 years ago. I guess thats why "designers" get millions to do this, it's never ending, just make sure you get your cut of it.

Good Luck

Rick
