What type/brand paint mask do you use?
Can it be left on for two, maybe three days without leaving behind any residue on painted aluminum?
Thanks

I have used Avery paint mask for race cars to cover up existing numbers on doors and roof and applied vinyl numbers temporarily. Have had some on for 3-4 days in full sun, with no problems.

Hi Wayne,
Let me know how the 810 Oracal paint mask does.In the past I have used 651 Oracal for a paint mask and it takes off some of the background so I need to find a good paint mask. I buy all my Oracal products from the J.Walker Sign Supply.
By the way, have you used much 851? I am using 751 mostly here...but maybe 851 would be better for the vehicles I letter.
Thanks,
Judy

I have Avery 24" white paint mask. Never left residue on anything I've masked... never damaged the BG paint either. It says GMI in the core, but says Avery all over the liner

Wayne, it was the white, have not tried the yellow, and actually, the last roll I got was GMI, not Avery, my bad. [Smile]

Danny I will check into that.

Mike and Doug, sounds like the Avery will do what I want. Now to find some 24''.

Judy, I mostly use Arlon cast HP vinyl but I do buy aluminum, HDU and other stuff from J. Walker. They have excellent service. If I use the Oracal mask I will let you know.
Thanks everyone
