For sometime we have been trying to get our hands on a photo of Tim Rieck from Sechelt, BC. The meet in Nanimo seemed like the perfect time for one of our roving Letterville reporters to finally capture an image of this obscure creature's face. Everyone was on the edge of their seats waiting to see Tim's current Resident Photo replaced with something less yellow and smiley.
Seems we underestimated Tim. We'll get ya yet Rieck!

He hates CBC.(He'll burn in Canadian Hell for that, let me assure you), and He is a T O T A L Zappa Head. Other than that, he seems ??? normal.
Now about getting an image of him, well, kind of like getting a picture of a Ghost, eh!!

John, I've been listening to CBC radio this week...and well....it starts out ok, some classical, then some celtic, cool, very cool, I'm liking this...then a show tune, then some jazz...ok...thinking I might change the station...then RAP!!!! ARRGGHHH...run for the dial and change quickly.....man, they sure do play a variety....
As for CBC tv.....that's where I get all those 'educational' programs like, Red Green Show and This Hour has 22 Minutes...without those shows I wouldn't know hardly anything about Canada!
And John..to answer your questions:(left for me at the pet shop at the mall in nanaimo...) No, their not decals no, not freehand, I charge for it yes, I cheated (I drew lines) and thanks for the compliments on my windows at the Mall!
A:) P.S. I saw you turning onto the main highway as you left for home, I waved!
I have a picture of Tim I'll send ya tomorrow (or in the next couple of days at least, along with more pictures of the meet. I have a few deadlines right now but will get them to you soon.

I Love listening to CBC radio when I work evenings or weekends in the shop. 'Ideas' is a fantastic series as is most of Sunday afternoons programming.
Bill Richardson, on the other hand, gets an automatic station change.

A, that smiley was meant for ME!!!!!! That's ok, you can have it. Tim is sending me a smiley maulstick. Besides, I can make my own smilies using clipart...
I heard through the rumor mill that Tim Rieck is actually retired and wealthy. He started his sign business for fun because he's board living in seclusion. He used to play in the Rock group Kiss, thats why nobody can never get a picture of his face (his body guards destroy everyones cameras)

Brian, we were under strict orders not to divulge that information. Dont answer the door if there is a black unmarked sedan parked in front of your place. Get out now while you still can...Brian...Brian.......are you still with us?...
Tim is actually the son of the artist who created the 'happy face', and is happily living of the large royalty cheques from all those VW van owners worldwide.
Tim's latest venture, the happy Mall stick, will be available on E-Bay soon. great for sign painting, or waving over a cranky younsters head to lighten his/her mood, like a magic fairy wand. Off course then you will have to retrieve it from their grubby little hands at a later time, which will get them cranky all over again ( a visious cycle ). I hear Ronko or KTel is looking for you Tim.
