Well, I'm off ot the hospital today to get a couple of MRI scans done this afternoon.
Work's been limited due to nagging shoulder pains and after a month of waiting on some REAL answers as to what's wrong, at least I'll have a better idea when the results are in. All the signs (no pun intended) are pointing to a torn rotator cuff and I'll most likely have to undergo some surgeory in the near future.
I had an MRI done in 1986, and was able to watch the process while it was happening. (Very cool to watch.) With it, the doctors discovered a rare bone disease in time to have it operated on and save my right wrist from further damage.
Maybe I should consider changing my business name to "Lefty's Signs" for a while?
Have a better day that I am, Letterheads! Rapid

You are going to have to move to the left coast. You wouldn't want to be left out of the fun. Exit, stage left... Hmmmmmmmm... what's left?
Hope all goes well for you. Keep us posted

I thought you were getting some work at a reactor. I met a guy once that made signs for a nuke facility. He said they all had to be painted to withstand temperatures, and the work paid real well. He got lured away by the money a freind was making in an airbrush booth in the tourist area.

I broke my right hand and wrist twice in 1987 and tore ligaments in my hand on two other occasions that year, thereby spending most of 1987 with my right hand in a cast (not to mention the time I had my leg in a cast--it was a REALLY bad year). Someone asked me if I was right handed. I replied: "I used to be..."
Ironically,1987 was the best year we ever had in this company, before or since. Maybe that proves the problem here is me–my company does better when I’m wrapped in plaster. Stick me in a body cast and we might become the next Microsoft.

I'm waiting on insurance approval for a MRI on hip and knee now. I had a long overdue physical yesterday. The hip is killing me after a 2 day golf marathon with my sons 2 weeks ago.

My wife and I care for her dementia ridden father, who has lived with us almost five years. He weighs about 250 pounds and falls frequently (usually, he slides out of his chair onto the floor). A month ago, my wife broke and dislocated a rib in her back as we were trying to lift him together.
A week and a half ago, when trying to lift him, he pulled me down and I slammed into a chair, injuring my back, neck and shoulder. I have hardly slept since because of the pain. Yesterday, I spent most of the afternoon at the doctor’s office and the doc told me I’m one wrong lift away from permanent, debilitating trauma.
We are now trying to place him in a nursing home, since his care has gotten beyond what we can safely do. He is a combat veteran of Korea and was shot at by both sides (American planes bombed his position at one point, killing twelve of his battery mates) however, trying to get government help is red tape city, especially since certain military records of his were among those destroyed in a fire in some warehouse years ago. We are also trying to get in home assistance via Medicare, Medicaid and/or the Office on Aging. Medically speaking, there’s never a dull moment here.

Boy, we're all going to pieces! I had my first MRI this spring, learned a total hip relacement (at 37!) is in my very near future. I am in a race against my own body trying to finish my black belt requirements at my martial arts club before my hip totally crumbles apart. I will probably be the worst patient ever.
