I am currently on the Carnival ship Spirit in Alaska. My wife's 50th birthday present for me. We left Vancouver yesterday and arrive in Juneau tomorrow. Finally got into Canada for the first time. Saw 3 killer whales and a bunch of porpoises today. Will update.

My birthday was in January, she gave me this at my surprise party. Had a while to anticipate. Just saw whales blowing while eating lunch. Awesome snow capped mountains all along the way now. Will be in Juneau in about an hour. Going to Mendenhall Glacier and whale watching. Later.

We are currently in Glacier Bay for a full day of cruising. Saw some glaciers calving and lots of harbor seals. Did see some humpback whales yesterday on the tour. Mountains and glaciers are unreal.

Dennis, If at all possible, bring a camera to the midnight buffet. The art they do with the food presentations is awesome!. Check out the ice carving. The sculpting done in the fruits and the animals they make outa the veggies. Daytime should also bring an abundance of eagles too. Hope you build lotsa memories and find words to describe it to others.
