Barb, Joey needed it in EPS format though, and they'll need to be coded so the lucky winners know which side is 'Up'. There's nothing worse than an upside-down hole, they don't hold water, posts won't stay in them.
(I think EPS means Extra-large Post Size).
I think Doug had the best idea though, just paint a stripe that is 15.70796325 inches long, and bend the ends round till they meet, though Joey didn't say whether that 5" was an inside or outside diameter. We might all be wrong here.

We all overlooked the obvious: get Windows XP, and Either Photoshop 8.0 or Corel 12, a P-5 4.8 Ghz system with dual 500 gig RAID HD's, 1024 meg DDR SDRAM, and only then, if you're experienced enough, enlarge a fullstop.
(If you don't have a computer, then use a pin- prick hole in a piece of cornflake packet card, and put that on the overhead projector.)
(Someone could sell a book about this, or collate it make it one of the Residents' perks)

Ian can you do a step-by-step on the pin prick in the corn flake packet card method, I've been trying to do that one all night and keep coming up with oblong ovals that cast shadows that are scaring the dog when I put them in the overhead project. One actually resembled a bat, and once I put it in the projector, batman & robin showed up 5 minutes later, boy what a lot of explaining I had to do. Cheeeesh

Rochon, leave it to you. Geez, I think you could screw up a 1 car funeral. So, when Batman & Robin showed up did you tell them the emergency was that you're a butthead?
Ian, you seem to have misread this post... Joey isn't looking for the method to make a 5" circle, he's looking for someone whose already done the work to send it to him.
I'm gonna go back to thinking about Ray's computer....

Do a search, Frisby had a post on here a little while back offering holes for sale. I think they were from well shafts. I'm not sure if he was willing to break them apart though, you might end up with the whole hole.

Harris, I dunno, Joey doesn't strike me as a folk kinda guy, I 'm thinking maybe Hole Lotta Love, Hole Lotta Shaking or even Holed on I'm Coming. Man I gotta stop, I'm gonna put these thoughts on hold.

Barb! You say you are going to give away a heap of holes in the next Letterville Draw! No much use to us down under in Oz. Canadian holes are upside down to us .... everything falls out!

Hey Joey, I'd love to help ya out man but coz we are metric down here I could only give you 126mm circles not 5" and also I have one pack of post holes left but they too are metric. Let me know if metric will do.

is this the whole hole you are looking for or the circle surrounding the whole hole? keep trying, these creeps are just trying to make you dizzy. I'll draw one in composer and send it to ya! The empty one is right below to view, just cross your eyes and you'll see one.

Joey, I know you wouldn't ask for help unless you really needed it so here goes. For copywrite reasons I can't offer you bona fide circles but I can offer you 2 dimensional oblate spheroids in the following formats. *.wmf (Windows, Mosty Fuqued up) *.ai (Adobe ItsAlmosRightButNotQuite) *.pdf (pretty dumb file)
Any Help? David

Has anyone heard about the pinstriper that had one leg shorter than the other and whose lines went in ever decreasing circles until he disappeared up his own fundamental orifice.

in PS2 you can do it more easily: setparam0/drarc360,dia5x57
However, I don't think there is any software that can interpolate (RIP) PostScrip code without the whole parameter set any more. I tried doing this in Illustrator, and then stripping the code, and it became a 40K file, just for one circle!
Back in 1989 i was actually good enough to write postscript code. (thank the goddess i don't have to do THAT anymore).
Now no more grumbling from you NEWBIES who never learned how to write your own postscript coding. You all have it easy. Maybe I should start a postscripheads group...

Scooter, that's pretty neat. I've never read that code before and understood it fairly quickly. One probelm though, you forgot the depth of the hole.
Joey, not sure how deep you need to make the hole you need, but here's the link to figure the dimensions...
