Using corel for the first time is a little tricky when it comes to importing something as simple as an arrow from the symbols page. I tried it as ai. but was told it may have to be ai.7 which I don't find. EPS and others don't seem to be recognized in Gerber G.A. 6.2 with these symbols under those formats. Maybe it is a stupid question, but, I need to know how this works anyway. And, when I try to bring up the webdings to cut from the view, they don't show on the composer screen or the composing box before the screen. Is this true with other programs, or just mine? How do I do this?

What Scott says is true. GA 6.2 likes cmx files. What version of Corel are you using? If it's a newer version, then you might have to save or export the cmx in an older format. The option for CD5 cmx might work best.
The symbols in Corel are actually fonts and must be treated as such; by either loading or installing before they'll work. If I understood correctly, you've opened them in Corel & are just trying to save as a different file type. The cmx should work. If you're trying to open them directly in Composer, then maybe you'd have to do that font convertor thing first. Saving them as a cmx sounds like the best solution. That's "Corel Presentation Exchange 5.0 (CMX)", in the drop-down list.

I'd listen to Scott and Bill too. I use 6.0 so I don't have a cmx option ... I bounce eps files back and fourth all day every day ... but they have to be filled non-outlined objects (not font characters)
