How can I keep the gradient color fade in artwork created in Signlab when exporting as an .ai or .eps file? Even at 1200 dpi, a raster image is too rough. Thanks for any help on this.

A trick i use when there is a problem like this , is to install the Apple Color Laser writer printer driver from windows. Set the printer to print to a file instead of to a port. When promted for a filename while printing the gradient, give the file an EPS extension. Adobe should be able to pick it up. My AI8 does.

BY the way, Signlab has a few more gradients than Adobe has,so there is no export a triangular or square gradient via AI commands, you need to go the Eps route. AI syntax only allows radial and linear.
What version of Signlab do you have and maybe email me the drawing you are trying to export.
I usually do most of the export and import filters for Signlab so i would be interested in any ai/eps issues. I could then email a new dll.

Thanks for your reply Frank. That's pretty much getting it straight from the horse's mouth. Nice to know Cadlink is monitoring the BB.
