I’m an artist living in Massachusetts, and I’m doing a series of signs on aluminum. I have at least thirty designed at this time (more to come), and I’m looking for suppliers to provide custom cut blanks, either in baked enamel, or powder-coated. The quality needs to be quite good -- smooth edges, even paint job, no scratches. Does anyone have any suggestions for good suppliers? My ideal would be a company that could cut blanks and then powder-coat them in-house, and that would be within driving distance from Massachusetts, but I am open to other possibilities.

Hey Wendy - how about giving us more information such as thickness of the aluminum and quantity of each you need produced (and how quick), and some idea of the panel shapes involved. Sounds like a job for someone with a CNC router, Lord knows there's enough of those around, but you narrow your prospects drastically when you want a single vendor to cut and powder coat. (Different specialties). Would a professionally applied epoxy automotive finish be acceptable? There's probably plenty more shops that could step in if you're flexible on the finish. The finish may likely be subbed out to a local body shop, either by the same people who cut the blanks, or you could break the job in two - get your mill finished blamks, then line up your own painter (or powder coater) separately.
I don't CNC, but those would be my concerns and workarounds. Good luck.
