This holidaying is becoming a way of life for me lately! We took off to Cultus Lake for the whole weekend and then some, and lo and behold, guess who's neighbourhood we drove through on the way?
Dan, did you get your shingles on in time for the rain Sunday?
Dan's shop is WOW. Everyone's dream. Dan graciously climbed down the steep roof to come and give us a personal tour. (is there anything that guy doesn't do?!?) Cody much preferred the big sand pile beside it and created Sawatsky style hallways through it while Mike and I visited the shop and Dan's progress.
There's actually a train 'tunnel? shed?' where this working train will be parked when not winding around it's own track within the property. How's that for a live portfolio?!?
Anyway, it was a great stop on our way to a new place to camp. The boys went fishing each day while I slept in, read books on the beach, walked with Jenna, sipped coffee, all that stuff workaholics dream about. I so deserved this.
Can you imagine me not being all that excited about work tomorrow AM? I may have to find a way to make the Nanaimo meet after all to get my enthusiasm back! Thinking... thinking...

Donna, We've kept the doors open for you. We'd love to contribute to your new inspiration. Did Dan devulge his demonstration project for Nanaimo.....he says 'it will be a surprise!! This is like waiting for Santa to bring presents! We'd love to have you.

Susan, I'll call my mom tomorrow to attempt to book her in once again to help with Cody. If she can, I'll be there! I'll let you know when I have my answer, and thanks!!!
Mike is doing alot better lately, but he's not out of the woods quite yet.

A, he had an accident at work about a month ago. His head went through the side window when someone cut him off while driving his cement truck. He's had a pretty serious concussion and several setbacks that keep changing due to the injury.
